The HISD Academic Calendar is an essential tool for students, parents, and staff. It provides a clear overview of the school year, including important dates such as the first and last day of school, holidays, early release days, and grading periods.

Having the calendar helps families plan ahead for vacations, appointments, and childcare. It also ensures that students don't miss valuable instructional time and helps parents stay informed and engaged with their child’s education.

Prepare Required Documents

To enroll, you will need the following:

• Proof of age (birth certificate or passport)

• Proof of residency (utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement)

• Parent/guardian ID

• Immunization records

• Previous school records (if applicable)

Attucks Middle School requires students to follow a uniform policy based on grade level:

• 6th Grade: Navy polo shirts

• 7th Grade: Red polo shirts

• 8th Grade: Grey polo shirts

• STEAM Program: Forest green polo shirts

Students must wear khaki or blue pants each day. Shorts, dresses, skirts, and joggers are not allowed.

On Fridays only, students may wear jeans (no rips, holes, or tears) with a school spirit shirt.

Footwear must be closed-toed shoes. Crocs are not permitted.
