Principal's Message
Greetings Attucks Families,
My name is Cory McCoy, and I am honored to serve as your Principal for this 2026-2027 academic school year. As we begin this exciting new chapter together, I am filled with enthusiasm, gratitude, and a deep commitment to serving our students, families, staff, and community.
Education has always been more than a profession for me; it is my passion and my calling. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to helping students achieve academic excellence, supporting teachers in delivering high-quality instruction, and building strong partnerships with families and community stakeholders. I firmly believe that every student deserves access to exceptional learning opportunities, caring adults who believe in their potential, and experiences that prepare them for success beyond the classroom.
Attucks STEAM Academy has a proud legacy and tremendous potential. As I begin this journey with the Attucks family, I am eager to learn about the traditions that make this school special, celebrate our accomplishments, and work collaboratively to create even greater opportunities for our students. My leadership philosophy is grounded in relationships, high expectations, and continuous improvement. When students feel valued, challenged, and supported, they are empowered to achieve remarkable things.
This year, our vision is centered on ensuring every student experiences success through innovation, academic excellence, and meaningful engagement. Together, we will focus on three key priorities that will guide our work:
